Softest Horse you will meet.Very sensitive & responsive to the smallest of aids. Forward going ride and benefits from someone that can regulate their seat independently from hands and aware of breathing. Always tries his best and just wants to please. Best suited to experienced rider and knowledgeable home. He absolutely loves bum scratches and will reverse to you in paddock for this. He also has other sweet spots and enjoys affection. He enjoys his regular Bodywork /fascia release sessions. Has been lead horse on safari and previously on beach rides. He will excell in dressage with the right rider. Beautiful movement. Does best with consistent routines and work. Needs someone soft. Please contact us for videos of free movement and under saddle.
Viggo has a solid groundwork foundation with liberty based training and liberty lunging.
He knows how to:
- Yield hindquarters and shoulders.
- How to park.
- Basic clicker/target training and stretches.
- Started lateral work and bending on ground.
- Backing up.
- Know Bodywork very well.
- Tie up.
- Good with vet/vaccinations.
- Currently barefoot. On a 6 week farrier cycle. Stands well for farrier.
- Has a passports and is Microchipped.
- Vaccinations up to date.
- Easy to halter and is affectionate.
- He receives regular dentals and physio with us.
- Deworming up to date.
- When he arrived with us it was unfortunately evident that he puts his tongue over the bit. We have tried many different types of bits(soft ones only)and best is a snaffle with a port or Happy tongue that allows him to easily pull tongue back if he wishes. We do ride him bitless,however only once rider is comfortable/aquinted to him due to his responsive nature to aids.
We would love to rehome him together with his half brother Tjalf (package price available to the perfect private home.) Export can be arranged to all neighbouring countries or East Africa via Joburg.
