Johnny Walker JW, or Vissie as he is lovingly known, is a gentle and kind soul. Still owned by his breeder, he is the last of a very successful breeding program, with both of his brothers being world champions. Vissie has been backed, trained, and competed professionally.

Performance and Training:
Vissie is highly regarded in the dressage community for his fluid, balanced gaits and impressive scope. Judges consistently praise his movement, and he always scores well. Currently competing at Elementary (2nd Level) and set to move up to Medium (3rd Level) by the end of the year, his rapid progression demonstrates his incredible talent. Having started his competition career in April 2024 at the Novice level, Vissie’s ability to advance so quickly shows he has what it takes to continue succeeding at higher levels.

Standing at 16.1 hands and a purebred Arab, Vissie is registered and out of the best bloodlines in the world, making him an exceptional representative of the breed. There is very little this remarkable horse can’t do. He has also dabbled in Novice Endurance, loving every moment, and effortlessly covers ground with his naturally easy-going style.

Temperament and Personality:
An old soul in a young body, Vissie is incredibly versatile and can be ridden in a halter, bridle, or even just a neck rope. He’s used to trail riding through game reserves, going on long treks, and even swimming in dams. His calm demeanor makes him a reliable partner, whether it’s in the show ring or out on the trails.

Vissie is kind and caring to beginners and is known for being a real cuddle bug. There’s not a bad bone in his body. He’s rock solid at shows or in new venues, staying focused and calm even in challenging conditions like pouring rain, gale-force winds, or heavy machinery operating nearby.

Care and Handling:
Vissie is easy to handle in all aspects—he can hack alone or in company, ponies up effortlessly, and can even trot beside you when set loose. He boxes, ties up, and leads easily, even with completely inexperienced handlers. Farrier visits, vet appointments, and clipping are no problem for him, although he does enjoy cuddling and licking whoever’s holding him.

Family and Friends:
Vissie loves people, adores his animal friends (chickens, dogs, and sheep included), and thrives on being doted on. He’s truly part of the family and has even joined in for Sunday lunch a time or two! He would make a fantastic addition to any home, bringing both performance and companionship.
